Assignment Description: Since 2002, BRM and Xcel Energy have partnered to implement beneficial reuse projects in Northwestern Wisconsin, utilizing fly ash and bottom ash from Xcel's power plant in Ashland, Wisconsin. This material has been utilized primarily in farm construction projects sourced and managed by BRM.

Partnership Scope: On average, BRM has redirected 16,000 tons of fly ash and bottom ash material from the Bay Front Plant to beneficial reuse projects each year.

Industrial Partner Benefit: Relative to the alternative cost of land filling the material, Xcel has saved an average of $200,000 annually. In addition, this partnership has contributed to Xcel Energy's corporate commitment to reducing their impact on the environment and responsible environmental stewardship.
